A fly over a lake created in part of a degree 7 "true 3D" Mandelbrot Set.
The formula used is due to Daniel White and Paul Nylander.
Rendered in Ultra Fractal using my own ray-tracing algorithm.
500 frames @640*480 rendered in around 24 hours on a 2GHz core2duo laptop.
